Students We Serve
Students We Serve
We believe that parents are the child’s first and most important advocate and that children whose parents are involved in their educational program are the most successful academically and behaviorally. Therefore, we encourage and support each family’s attempt to be involved in the academic life of their child.
Our school provides services to children who exhibit behaviors that interfere with their attending regular school programs. These behaviors include:
- Significant deficits in verbal and/or nonverbal communication and social interactions that adversely affect educational performance
- Behaviors that create immediate safety concerns which cannot be served in the public-school setting
- Difficulty with environmental change or change in daily routines
- Sensory processing disorders or challenges in self-regulation
Children may also have secondary problems such as:
- Learning disabilities
- Health impairments
- ADHD
- Speech and language delay or disorders
