About Our School<\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n

The Children\u2019s Guild School of Prince George\u2019s County is a non-public, special education day school approved by the Maryland State Department of Education, for boys and girls 5-21 years old, who have emotional disabilities, autism, intellectual disabilities, and multiple disabilities. The enrollment capacity for the school is 140 students.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Children\u2019s Guild School of Prince George\u2019s County is an affiliate of\u00a0The Children\u2019s Guild<\/strong><\/a>, founded in 1953, is accredited by the National Commission for the Accreditation of Special Education Services<\/a><\/strong>, is approved by the Maryland State Department of Education as a nonpublic school serving children with autism, emotional disabilities, intellectual limitation, and multiple disabilities, and is licensed by the Maryland Department of Mental Health and Hygiene<\/a><\/strong> as an out-patient mental health clinic. The Children\u2019s Guild is an affiliated agency of the United Way of Central Maryland<\/a><\/strong>, the Maryland Association of Nonpublic Special Education Facilities (MANSEF)<\/a><\/strong>, and The District of Columbia Association for Special Education (DCASE)<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

All student instruction is directed by an Individualized Education Program (IEP).\u00a0\u00a0All professional staff are certified and\/or licensed.\u00a0\u00a0The school calendar and schedule are provided to the parent\/guardian and the local school system(s) (LSS) at intake and at the beginning of the school year.\u00a0\u00a0Any revisions to the calendar and schedules are distributed to the parent\/guardian and the LSS as necessary during the school year.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
